The Idea

As we grow older, we start to accept that things aren't the way we expected them to be. We begin accepting the fact that rejection becomes an integral part of our life.

As we come to realise, we begin to absorb the idea of not being too ideal for everything. Simply because idealism isn't a good practice on our life.

Broken heart, declined access for credit card, being yelled at by your boss, takeouts don't taste the same way you ordered it when it was warm, public transportation makes you late. And so many more. Disappointment comes in handy. We can find it everywhere, or we can create one.

And this is to remind me why we broke up at the first place. That we only hurt each other, let down each of us. That only I loved the idea of you and not you, your presence, nor your being.

That this is to remind me, also, why I loved you so much and it's really hard to recover from you.

Rizal took a photo of you and it really pleases my eyes. You look gorgeous. As always. The idea of it is real. But was us also real?
